Gersh Gotham ups 2 to VP

Price, Hirsh boosts follow LA promotions

HOLLYWOOD — On the heels of a spate of promotions in its Los Angeles office, the Gersh Agency has upped two Gotham agents to veepee.

The promotion of the senior agents, Rhonda Price and Stephen Hirsh, is effective immediately.

Price, who reps or co-reps clients that include Sam Rockwell (“Charlie’s Angels”), Mary McCormack (“K-PAX”), Richard Jenkins (HBO’s “Six Feet Under”), Arija Bareikis (“American Embassy”) and Paige Turco (“The Agency”), has been at Gersh in New York since 1993.

Price previously headed the New York office of the Susan Smith Agency for a year and a half. She began her career at the William Morris Agency.

Said Price: “I think this is a reflection of the emphasis Gersh places on New York and the New York creative community, which they rightly believe is the touchstone for some of the greatest talent out there.”

Hirsh first signed on with Gersh New York as a senior agent in 1997, having previously been an agent at Paradigm for nine years. Before that, he worked as an assistant agent at Curtis Brown Management.

Last month, Gersh upped four senior agents in the company’s L.A. talent department — Lorrie Bartlett, Chuck James, Ken Kaplan and Larry Taube — to vice president as part of an effort to broaden the base of the shop’s management structure.

Last month also marked the shuttering of a major Gersh competitor in Gotham, with the Agency for the Performing Arts shuttering its New York offices.

Three APA talent agents, Mark Schlegel, Caroline Daughters and Maryanne Rubacky, ankled, and personal appearances agent Andrew Simon relocated to L.A.
