Bristol Palin is embracing co-parenting baby daughter Sailor Grace with ex-fiancé, Dakota Meyer after the two reached a custody agreement over her.

Bristol, the 25-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor and former 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, posted on her Instagram page Saturday, a day before Mother's Day, a photo of the three.

"#Coparenting," she wrote.

Dakota posted a sweet Mother's Day message to Bristol on Facebook, writing, "Bristol, we definitely haven't always seen eye to eye but one thing that's never been a question is how amazing of a mother you are. And to my mom, thank you. Happy Mother's Day."

Bristol gave birth to Sailor, her second child, on Dec. 23, months after she and Dakota, a 27-year-old U.S. Marine vet and 2009 Medal of Honor recipient, called off their engagement.

At the time, she did not reveal the identity of the girl's father, although Dakota tweeted a photo of Bristol holding the baby, saying, "Best Christmas present ever!!" He later filed for joint custody of the girl. An Alaska judge ruled in March the two would share interim joint legal and physical custody of Sailor. Their agreement was recently finalized.

In addition, last week, Dakota filed a petition to change the child's name from Sailor Grace Palin to Sailor Grace Palin Meyer, court records show. Bristol has not commented. A hearing has been set for June.
